On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to Little Gorges Tented Lodge. (D)
Little Gorges is perched on the edge of the Batoka Gorge next to main Gorges. This tented extension of Gorges overlooks the dramatic junction of the Dibu Dibu River and the Zambezi, where black eagles and lanner falcons nest in the sheer cliff faces. Construction of the luxury tents in this rugged, rocky and broken terrain necessitated careful planning and feats of engineering and is a wonderful alternative to the main Gorges chalets while still providing all the same comforts. (B,L,D)
During your stay here you'll have the opportunity to take part in two activities per day, or take advantage of a return shuttle to Victoria Falls town. Activities available include a visit to the local village, a school tour, traditional dancing, Verreaux’s Eagle viewing with sundowners and snacks, Gorge-edge walk or Gorge-hike. There are also optional activities to discover more of the Victoria Falls area. Some activities may incur an additional cost. (B,L,D)
Today you'll be transferred from Little Gorges to Dete Railway Station for a ride on the Elephant Express. Along the way you'll be able to spot wildlife from the comfort of an open air train cart. There might even be lions sleeping on the railway line!
On arrival to Ngamo sliding, you'll be transferred to Bomani Tented Lodge. (B,L,D)
This luxurious tented lodge is situated in a private concession of the magnificent Ngamo Plains, on the edge of the remote and unspoilt south eastern corner of Hwange National Park. Bomani is famous for its unique scenery, as well as its close access to the large herds of elephants and myriad of other animals and birdlife resident in Hwange National Park. (B,L,D)
During your stay at Bomani you'll have the chance to take part in morning and afternoon Game Drives, or one of the other activities available in the area. A popular one is visiting their 'look up game viewing hide' at Stoffie’s Pan inside the park, which has been called the best in Hwange. (B,L,D)
Today you'll be transferred from Bomani for another ride on the Elephant Express back to Dete Railway Station.
On arrival, you'll be transferred to Zambezi Sands River Camp in Zambezi National Park. (B,L,D)
This tented lodge is situated within the western area of the Zambezi National Park on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River upstream of the Victoria Falls. During your stay here you'll have the opportunity to take part in two activities per day. This includes the opportunities to get out on the water in a canoe, going fishing or take a guided tour of Victoria Falls (park fee not included).
However, relaxing in your private deck splash pool – whilst overlooking the Zambezi – is perhaps just as enjoyable. Elephant can be found loitering on the mainland or in the river, while hippo, waterbuck and bushbuck frequent the reed banks and islands. Lions can be heard calling at night and the birdlife is prolific - African finfoot, African skimmer, pratincoles and Pel’s fishing owl all occur here. (B,L,D)
After breakfast your journey in Zimbabwe ends with a transfer to Victoria Falls Airport. (B)
