Stay: Four nights, MS Caledonian Sky

Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Port Fairy, Port Campbell National Park

This morning, enjoy an excursion to Port Campbell National Park, visiting stunning Loch Ard Gorge, named for the clipper ship that foundered near here in 1878 with the loss of all but two on board, and the spectacular 12 Apostles. After lunch back on board, the afternoon is free to explore the pretty town of Port Fairy. You can choose to browse among the quaint shops, or take a walk around the port area and Griffiths Island, where you find a small lighthouse and hidden beaches among muttonbird nesting grounds.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Portland

Today you’ll dock in historic Portland where you’ll have a choice of touring options.

Freedom of Choice: Perhaps embark on a tour taking in the natural wonders of the area. See Point Danger gannet colony, home to Australia's only mainland colony of these birds; the gorgeous beach at Cape Bridgewater, Bridgewater Lakes and Tarragal Caves. You’ll also visit Cape Nelson State Park and Lighthouse. Alternatively, take a Zodiac ride around Portland Harbour before visiting the Maritime Discovery Centre. Portland has a rich maritime history as the site of Victoria’s first commercial port and a once thriving whaling industry.

Later, set sail for Stony Point on the Mornington Peninsula. Gather on the Panorama Deck for sunset drinks as your ship sails along the spectacular Shipwreck Coast and past the 12 Apostles, a rare vantage point for the magnificent sight.

This morning your ship will sail into Western Port Bay. On arrival, take a zodiac ride to nearby French Island, the largest coastal island in Victoria and home to a diverse range of wildlife. Join your expedition leader for a guided walk before returning to Stony Point and travelling to the Mornington Peninsula wine region, known for its cool climate wines. Here you’ll enjoy a tasting and lunch at Red Hill Estate. Later this afternoon, your ship sets sail for Melbourne.  Be sure to gather on the Panorama Deck for views of French Island, Phillip Island, and the rocky outcrop of the Nobbies, with its large seal colony.
