Itinerary

 

Day 01: Arrive Colombo - Negombo (-/-/-)

On arrival in Colombo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Negombo for the night.


Day 02: Negombo - Dambulla - Sigiriya (B/-/-)

Enjoy a traditional cooking demonstration before travelling to Dambulla Rock Temple. The temple is filled with exquisite cave paintings. Continue to Sigiriya for two nights stay.



Day 03: Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Pidurangala - Sigiriya (B/-/-)

Explore the city of Polonnaruwa by rickshaw. Travel to Pidurangala Rock, an ancient cave temple. From here you will have a spectacular view of famous Sigiriya Rock and the surrounding landscape.

Day 04: Sigiriya - Gadaladeniya - Embekke - Kandy (B/-/-)

Travel to Kandy. In the evening you will visit Gadaladeniya Temple and admire the glittering Buddha statue, then historical Embekke Devalaya. This royal hall is home to engraved wooden pillars.

Day 05: Kandy (B/-/-)

Wander the historic War Cemetery, the resting place of soldiers from WWI and WWII. Tour the city of Kandy, including the sacred Temple of the Tooth. In the evening you will enjoy a vibrant cultural show.


Day 06: Kandy - Galle (B/-/D)

After breakfast travel south to beach side Galle. Walk the streets and admire the fusion of European and South Asian. There is also a large shopping complex and the landmark of the city, the Dutch Fort. Both tonight and tomorrow night you will enjoy a fabulous dinner in your resort!


Day 07: Galle - Kosgoda - Balapitiya - Galle (B/-/D)

Visit the turtles in Kosgoda, the area is known for its Sea Turtle Conservation Project. In the evening relax on a boat safari in Balapitiya, a biodiversity hot spot with reptiles, bird watching, and many plantations.


Day 08: Galle - Colombo (B/-/D)

Drive to Colombo where you will enjoy a tour of the city highlights. Feast on a memorable final night dinner, at the famous Ministry of Crabs!


Day 09: Depart Colombo (B/-/-)

After breakfast the day is free at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your flight home.
