My 30 plus year career has been with hotels & tourism and for the past 26 years retail travel.

italktravel is part of the Express Travel Group and one of the largest travel groups in Australia and I am very proud to have a travel agency with focus on great customer service, unparalleled industry experience and building relationships with our repeat and referral clientelle.

It has been 13yrs since opening this office in July 2007 and my team and I have maintained a very healthy business. We have access to deals that are not available online. Most things that you see online can be booked through our office with the peace of mind that you are dealing with real people. Not only do I own & manage the business, I also consult full time, so I am up to date on all things travel related. 

My team of experienced consultants are the reason behind having such a successful business.

I have been in the travel industry for 24 years, covered 5 continents and 40 countries. I have travelled independently as well as in small groups and have some really interesting life stories!

Being a parent of 3 young adults I understand completely what they want out of life! If you have older children that want to travel and need someone to guide and encourage their travel dreams, then I am your go to person. Contiki, Top Deck, Loose itineraries & independent travel, even help with working visa's? My daughter worked in Canada for the past 12 months. 

I also specialise in cruising and think there is nothing better than unpacking once & having your floating hotel take you away. Our search engine for cruising is amazing and we have amazing access to everything from canal boats in France, river cruising as well as all the major cruise lines. 

Katherine Kalaf

Katherine has travelled through Europe, North America, Canada, Fiji and Asia, including Hong Kong,  Singapore, Bangkok,  KL and Penang and have been to Bali 44 times. She has also Honeymooned in the Maldives and cruised in the Caribbean.

Of all her favourites, and the ones she will always return to are the Greek Islands.Having been to  the more popular Islands such as Santorini, Paros and  Rhodes but have also spent a lot of time exploring the less Tourist dominated Islands like Folegandros , Aegina, Symi, Lesbos and Kastelorizo, to name a few.

With her Greek background and Katherine's specialty is organising Itineraries to Greece.

Being in the Travel Industry for 26 years, Katherine is very experienced. The most satisfying and rewarding aspect of her career in travel would have to be the relationship built along the way with clients and the travel experiences they have shared together.

Julie Ninnis

I have travelled and explored many places and I love to discover new places… my favourite place so far that I’ve explored is Vietnam and still want to visit Sapa so definitely returning there… Train travel is one of my favourite ways to see a country and I’ve done rail from Paris to Lucerne, Milan, Florence and finishing in Rome over 2 weeks and loved it. 

I have escorted some WA Little league Baseball groups to Dubai, Hong Kong, Bahrain and South Africa… while travelling to play the games, we also did some awesome sightseeing.  Other places I have explored are Elephant Hills on Phuket Island, as well as many other cities in Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Beijing, New Zealand, Fiji, the West Coast of America, UK, Brunei and of course our amazing country – of which I have seen something in every state. 

Being in the industry for over 16 years,  the things I truly enjoy are the friendships built with clients over the years… sharing with them and helping them realise their holiday dreams.
